We are here for you
Being a parent brings its share of challenges and questions. Sexuality, a sometimes delicate subject, should not be a taboo between you and your child. At Olie, we understand that each family is unique and that each parent may have specific questions. This is why we are proud to introduce our sexology teleconsultation service.
What is a sexologist?
A sexologist helps individuals better understand and balance their sexual behavior and development, while taking into account their environment. This professional can offer interventions, treatments or recommendations aimed at improving sexual health and overall well-being.
In childhood, sexology focuses on the psychosexual development of children, that is, on how they understand their bodies, their emotions and their relationships with others. It has nothing to do with adult sexuality. It is like learning the basics of life, a bit like learning to wash your hands properly or to look both ways before crossing the street. It helps children to better understand themselves, to be safe and to interact well with others.
Examples of consultation's motives
Inappropriate, risky or problematic sexual behaviors
Child/adolescent victim of sexual violence
Compulsive self-stimulation
Sexual and gender diversity
Porn addiction or exposure to sexually explicit material
Relationship difficulties
Services
No matter your situation, there is a formula for you and your child.
Our services are offered virtually or in person.
One-off meeting
The one-off meeting will be assigned after a discovery call with a sexologist. This meeting is ideal for those looking for one-off solutions, clarification on a specific question, or temporary support, without committing to long-term follow-up.
Parental consulting
You have become aware of the situation concerning your child and would like support in your approach? You can establish a concrete action plan with a sexologist in order to better support your child. (Recommended for children under 7 years old)
Individual youth consulting
For young people aged 7 to 14
Depending on the situation, it may be relevant to support the child in an individual approach concerning a specific problem related to sexuality.
You are in good hands
The members of the Olie team have the same mission at heart: To offer the world's children a healthy, safe living environment and optimal psychosexual development.
